A NYC-based AEA perfomer, Adam is unique in that his love of performing arts extends out of the spotlight. A well-rounded artist, he spent countless hours working in live sound, lighting design, and performing arts management for several performing arts venues during his university days. Nevertheless, performing is Adam's ultimate joy. Adam's favorite roles are Son, Brother, Boyfriend, Friend, and most recently, Uncle!
As his 97-year-old grandmother tells it, Adam got his start using the fireplace hearth as his stage. At age 4, he got his first pair of taps; his feet have yet to stop moving! Adam and his cousins wrote, produced, and choreographed original musical revues for the parents each Christmas. For 30 years, the Shaffs' family Dance Studio trained thousands of young artists in his hometown, Columbus, Indiana. Performing is in his blood.
As a teenager, Adam began to seriously explore his passion for the stage. That exploration led him to Indiana University and a degree in Arts Management. As a Hoosier, Adam expanded his training as a singer, dancer, and actor. He gained valuable experience as a soloist and choreographer with The Singing Hoosiers while also appearing in three productions for IU's Department of Theatre and Drama as well as four World Premiere musicals and dance pieces.
